Concerns for safety, health and the environment (SHE) are core values at HL Insulation. It is our sincere belief that accidents and incidents are preventable through the attentive, efficient management of people and physical resources. Successfully managing SHE issues is an essential element of our business strategy. Through the monitoring and promotion of this policy, we actively participate in protecting the environment and the overall welfare of our personnel, customers, subcontractors and communities. At HL Insulation, we consider a zero accident / incident level to be a fundamental and attainable target.
In order to achieve our objectives, we:
- Require every employee to take personal responsibility for SHE by focusing on their own behaviour
- Identify SHE risks arising from our activities and reduce them to the lowest possible levels
- Place a high priority on the SHE training of our personnel
- Apply a methodical and measurable approach to continuously improve our SHE performance
- Openly communicate SHE issues and performances, and share and learn from the best SHE practices, both internally and externally
HL Insulation is SCC** certified by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) for its SHE working procedures. SCC**, which stands for Safety Checklist Contractors, is an international safety checklist to demonstrate that a contractor is in compliance with key requirements according to national Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) legislation.
